Milk and All That!

Reading Lucy

Humid is the weather. It finally gave way to rain and the weather has cooled off a bit. When it started raining, Lucy fell asleep. She loves the sound of the shower too.
This morning Lucy and I planted 4 tomato plants, Lucy in her bouncy seat. Last night the three of us headed to Fredy's and picked out plants. They had so many kinds of tomatoes, I might have to rent a book about tomatoes. While we were planting on the balcony Lucy giggled and the mama and papa duck brought their little one up to eat bread crumbs.
This afternoon I propped up Lucy on one of the pillows and read to her.

Morning Joys

Lucy sleeps through most nights and wakes up around 5am to nurse. It is a sweet time for us, the world is waking up, the birds are singing and the light gradually filters through our windows. I think it is her best meal of the day, she isn't distracted and she is actually hungry, she doesn't play while eating. She gazes at me and I feel so lucky to have her.
A few mornings ago Lucy and I had a very nice morning feeding and she was lying in my lap dreamily looking into my face. I smiled, she smiled. I fell in love all over again. and then BAM! ALL over me! I was covered with cupfuls of warm partly digested breast milk. All over my chest, shoulders, neck and face, dripping down my shoulders!
After the shock of the explosion I looked at my little girl's face and she looked just as sweet as before, as if nothing had happened.
All I could do was laugh.
What a way to start out the morning-laughing!

Music TIme

Lucy and I have been going to the library every week and we picked up some music for her to listen to! I made a video of her listening to it this morning.

Lucy's Hands

Lucy has been so much fun to watch the past few days.
She has been staring at her hands, looks like she is really trying to make them move the way she she wants.
Her facial expressions are really fun to watch too! She REALLY smiles when I do funny things with her with my lips.
The three of us went to Margaret's last night and enjoyed HUGE kielbasa sausages and watched a movie. Lucy slept through the whole movie and slept through the whole car ride and then slept until 6am! Talk about some nice sleep time for mom! Margaret's pond looks amazing! And I told Lucy that her and I are going to be spending some fun times at Margaret's house this summer gardening and hanging out in the sun drinking margaritas! Can't wait for it to warm up!

Sleepy Sunday

We had a sleepy Sunday morning!
Lucy and I got up early and let dad sleep. She was super sweet coeing while she laid on the floor and stretched. She has been waking up earlier the past few days, I think that she likes to listen to the birds as they wake up.
I have her in the sling and she has been happy all morning-she found her hand.
